Targeting virulence determinants is a promising approach to controlling infections in the face of the global spread of antibiotic resistance. -induced peritonitis often occurs in dialysis, implant and trauma patients. To develop novel prevention and treatment options for peritoneal infection, we investigated the oligopeptide sortase A inhibitor LPRDA as a non-conventional antibacterial that does not affect staphylococcal survival.

Limb lengthening relies on the process of distraction osteogenesis. The active periosteal bone formation has been detected in clinical practice with a lengthening and then nail (LATN) technique but has not been confirmed by experimental studies to date. The aim of this study is to compare the tissue regeneration of the distraction regenerate during tibial lengthening in rabbits using a LATN technique.

Tissue reactions to the grafting of samples of composite hydrogel based on polyacrylamide and cellulose of different origin (plant and bacterial) were studied in 48 laboratory outbred rats and 24 rabbits of chinchilla breed. The observations were carried out on Days 5, 14, 45 and 90 after placement of implants in the muscle, joint cavity, deep defects of the articular cartilage and subchondral bone. The study has revealed no migration and degradation of the samples.

This study was carried out to prove the possibility of inhibition of long bones epiphyseal plates activity with photodynamic impact. Comparative analysis of the Chlorin E6 accumulation with transcutaneous and intraperitoneal administration mode, carried out on 175 laboratory mice showed the drug accumulates selectively in the epiphyseal plates of long bones, regardless of the mode of administration. 15 mice (males and females) at the age of active grownig were subjected to the single laser radiation impact on the knee joints area: 5 ones with transcutaneous Chlorine E6 administration, another 5 ones with intraperitoneal administration and the rest 5 without the drug.

The siloxan film with programmed physiochemical characteristics possessing antimicrobial properties is proposed for the prevention of cicatrization in the knee joint area. Using this film as a pad after mobilizing operations on the knee joint has shown its high efficiency and considerably improved results of treatment.
