[Features of spatial distribution of constant electric field potential in normal states and in disease].

Special features of changes in human electrical field in some diseases were studied. Methods for the correction of the disease-induced changes in the intrinsic human field using an external current generator were developed.

Constant electric field of human beings and its role in medicine.

An investigation was made of fundamental biophysical principles of the intrinsic electric system functioning in different conditions. This system was shown to govern the vital functions of separate cells and of the entire live organism. We developed a method enabling the correction of an affected intrinisic electric system.

[Electrical characteristics of the peritoneum in various body states].

It is shown that carcinogenesis can be identified from the first day of development of the process against the background of inflammation response by measuring the electric resistance of the peritoneum.

[Differences in osmoregulation of resistant and nonresistant fibroblasts in hypotonic media and effect of verapamil on osmoregulation].

The osmoregulation of resistant and nonresistant striped hairyfooted hamster fibroblasts in hypotonic medium was studied. It was found that the fibroblasts of a resistant population completely regulate their volume 1 min after diluting the cell suspension with water. Verapamil, an inhibitor of Pgp channels, caused equal swelling of both fibroblast populations in isotonic medium.

[Changes in membrane potential and cell volume of Balb C mice T lymphocytes in different physiological conditions in media with different content of D2O].

It is shown that the changes in membrane potential of thymocytes in aqueous medium with a definite D2O concentration are due to changes in the Na/K-ATPase activity. Low D2O concentrations activate whereas high concentrations inhibit the enzymatic reaction. The experimental data obtained suggest the discreteness of functionally active conformations of the enzyme.
