Authors offer a new technique of plasma radiation treatment of purulent-septic complications of battle wounds of extremities. Complex treatment of 96 patients: processing and an irradiation of wound and purulent cavity by means of plasma streams, authentically improved the outcome, reduced quantity of septic complications, and considerably reduced average period of gunshot, explosive and lacerate wound recovery. Positive result of the technique allowed the authors to recommend the technique in treatment of purulent-septic complications of extremities wounds.

A new technique of complex treatment of fighting wounds of extremities with application of the plasma streams, applied for the treatment of 115 wounded persons in military hospital, showed to be highly effective during the surgical processing of bullet wounds of extremities at all stages of providing medical aid. Use of plasma surgical complexes allows conducting quality preventive measures against surgical infection, to hermetise firmly the wounded surface, to carry out a reliable and final hemostasis during the course of operative intervention. There is an authentic decrease in quantity of purulent complications, improvement of results of treatment and reduction of average terms of treatment.

Experimental data on the application of plasma streams (PS) for the treatment of gunshot wounds of extremities is presented. On the basis of the investigated material (20 animals in which treatment included PS compared to 10 animals where treatment was carried out without SP application) it was established, that bullet wounds of extremities are cleared of pathogenic microflora in shorter terms, the expressed anesthetizing effect was observed, basic function of finiteness was restored 4 - 5 days earlier. The common reduction of time parameters was in average 22 - 25%.
