[A complex program for the treatment of patients with post-thrombophlebitic disease of the lower limbs].

The aim of the work was to improve the results of the treatment of patients suffering from post-thrombophlebitic disease (PTPD) of the lower limbs. An analysis was made of the results of examination and treatment of 800 patients, obtained over the recent 12 years. Wide spreading of operations carried out on the saphenous and communicating veins led to a decrease in the number of the long-term positive results in the presence of valvular insufficiency of the deep veins.
