This paper presents a system for touch-less heartbeat detection and a cardiopulmonary signal modeling approach. Using a vector network analyzer, a microwave system is tested for the detection of the heartbeat signal at a distance of 1 m from a person. The proposed system shows the ability of detecting the heartbeat signals with the possibility of tuning both frequency and power.

These situations may be coupled to insulin-resistance through the insulin signaling system as a common pathway. The purpose of this study was to investigate the receptor binding alterations in streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats, spontaneously hypertensive rats and aortocaval shunted rats (eccentric cardiac hypertrophy).

Acute stimulation by 15 micrograms of LH induces a 10-fold increase in the androgen (testosterone and androstenedione) level which reaches a maximum 4 hr later and then slowly decreases until the 25th hour. Repeated stimulations every 2 or 4 hr are followed by the same androgen increase during the first 8 or 10 hr and then by a slow decrease in the secretion despite new LH injections.
