Cerebral Toxocariasis as a Cause of Epilepsy: A Pediatric Case.

Toxocarosis is the consequence of human infection by spp. larvae and is one of the most common ascarioses, not only in developing countries, but also in the European region, where its prevalence reaches 14%. Due to their particular behavior, children are at higher risk of this parasitic infection, whose clinical features depend on the localization of the larvae.

Intramedullary spinal cord cavernous malformations presenting with unexplained chest pain: case report and review of the literature.

Introduction: Intramedullary spinal cord cavernous malformations are very uncommon in pediatric age, with only 26 cases reported within the available literature to date. The diagnosis of such lesions is often difficult and delayed because of their rarity and bizarre clinical presentation.

Case Report: We report a case of intramedullary spinal cord cavernous malformation in a girl, in which sudden onset chest pain was the only presenting symptom, followed by appearance of neurological deficits after 5 days.

A rare anomaly of ureteral duplication is the inverted Y configuration, occurring when 2 distal ureteral limbs fuse proximally to become a single tube draining the kidney. In international literature there is a female predominance. Previous reports documented distal limbs that were atresic or associated with ureterocele or ectopically located.
