Richter syndrome (RS) represents a major unmet need in the lymphoma field, being refractory to chemoimmunotherapy and targeted agents. The BCL-2 inhibitor venetoclax in combination with dose-adjusted EPOCH-R chemoimmunotherapy showed promising efficacy in patients affected by RS. However, responses were not durable, suggesting the need for further treatment optimization.

The clinical presentation of T-cell large granular lymphocytic leukemia (T-LGLL) is extremely variable: 30% of patients have neutropenia with no associated symptoms, others present with bacterial infections and sepsis may occur. Tools to predict patient outcome are lacking. Stemming from preliminary results obtained by single cell-RNAseq we investigated by qPCR HSP and IFIT gene families in 27 LGLL patients (23T-LGLL and 4 NK-LGLL), including 11 with neutropenia and/or thrombocytopenia and 16 asymptomatic for the disease.

Background: Differences in implant positioning between anatomical and reverse shoulder arthroplasties have raised concerns about the adequacy of assessing the global glenoid inclination (GGI) using the method described by Maurer to define the position of the metallic base in reverse shoulder arthroplasty. The reverse shoulder angle (RSA) has been proposed to measure the inclination of the lower half of the glenoid. This study aims to evaluate the interobserver agreement of manual measurements of the RSA using two-dimensional (2D) computed tomography (CT) images and its relationship with the automated measurement of the GGI.

Background: The incidence of patients showing neck metastasis and no obvious primary tumor at the initial diagnostic evaluation or neck cancer of unknown primary (NCUP) is rising. It is estimated that a relevant part of these tumors arises in the tonsillar crypts or base of the tongue and are p16+-related. However, today, the detection rate of the primary tumor is suboptimal.

Cold liquid stabulation aims to extract valuable compounds from grape lees before juice clarification. In this study, 7, 14, and 21 days of lees contact were tested on aroma-neutral 'Arneis' and 'Cortese' grape juices vs control. Basic parameters, colour, polyphenols, antioxidant capacity, and volatile organic compounds were assessed throughout winemaking.
