Magnetic resonance imaging of the hand and wrist in a randomized, double-blind, multicenter, placebo-controlled trial of infliximab for rheumatoid arthritis: Comparison of dynamic contrast enhanced assessments with semi-quantitative scoring.

The objective of this study was to compare the scope and the discriminative power of Dynamic Contrast Enhanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging (DCE-MRI) to those of semi-quantitative MRI scoring for evaluating treatments for rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in multicenter randomized clinical trials (RCTs). Sixty-one patients with active RA participated in a double-blind, parallel group, randomized, multicenter methodology study receiving infliximab or placebo through 14 weeks. The most symptomatic wrist and metacarpophalangeal joints (MCPs) were imaged using MRI.

Large cell neuroendocrine cervical tumor treated by radical surgery and adjuvant chemotherapy: A case report and literature review.

Neuroendocrine carcinomas of the uterine cervix are rare, but extremely aggressive, gynecological malignancies that are associated with an overall poor prognosis. The present study reports the case of a 41-year-old patient diagnosed with large cell neuroendocrine cervical tumor. A radical total hysterectomy with bilateral adnexectomy, pelvic and lymph node dissection was performed.

Endometrial Carcinoma Associated with Ovarian Granulosa Cell Tumors--A Case Report.

Ovarian granulosa cell tumors represent uncommon neoplasms with estrogen-secreting capacity. Due to their association with persistently increased levels of estrogen, modifications of the endometrial tissue ranging from hyperplasia to malignant degeneration may be encountered. We present the case of a 65-year-old patient who presented for post-menopausal vaginal bleeding.

Tabalumab in rheumatoid arthritis patients with an inadequate response to methotrexate and naive to biologic therapy: a phase II, randomized, placebo-controlled trial.

Objective: Tabalumab, a fully human IgG4 monoclonal antibody, neutralizes soluble and membrane-bound BAFF. The aim of this study was to examine the tolerability and efficacy of tabalumab in patients with active rheumatoid arthritis receiving methotrexate.

Methods: In this randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel, multiple-dose study, patients who were naive to biologic therapy received infusions of tabalumab (30, 60, or 160 mg) or placebo at weeks 0, 3, and 6 in combination with methotrexate and were evaluated for 24 weeks.
