Besides causing financial losses and damage to the brand's reputation, counterfeiting can threaten the health system and global security. In this context, physical unclonable functions (PUFs) have been proposed to overcome limitations of current anti-counterfeiting technologies. Here, we report on artificial fingerprints that can be directly engraved on a wide range of substrates through self-assembled block-copolymer templating as nanoscale PUFs for secure authentication and identification.

Infrared thermography (IRT) is a non-invasive method to estimate body temperature in many animal species. The eye has been indicated as the ideal region for IRT, potentially serving as an early indicator of variations in body temperature triggered by various events and stimuli. Studies are being conducted to understand sources of variation in IRT temperature of the eye and develop comprehensive guidelines for veterinary medicine and animal production purposes.

Soft tissue myoepithelial tumors (METs) are diagnostically challenging tumors that require careful histologic and immunohistochemical characterization for accurate classification. Nearly half of METs show recurrent EWSR1 or FUS gene rearrangements with a diverse set of fusion partners. The diversity of fusion partners and lack of known driver abnormalities in many cases raises the question of whether METs represent a uniformly distinct tumor entity.
