Enabling light-controlled ionic devices requires insight into photoionic responses in technologically relevant materials. Mixed-conducting perovskites containing nondilute Fe─serving as electrodes, catalysts, and sensors─can support large, electronically accommodated excursions in oxygen content, typically controlled by temperature, bias, and gas atmosphere. Instead, we investigated the ability of low-fluence, above-bandgap illumination to adjust oxygen stoichiometry and drive oxygen fluxes in nondilute Sr(TiFe)O ( = 0.

Article Synopsis
  • Robotic-Assisted Surgery (RAS) is becoming more popular, and training for this type of surgery is being added to medical education programs.
  • The study looks at whether skills learned in laparoscopic (a type of surgery with small cameras) can help with robotic surgery.
  • Results showed that many laparoscopic skills can be used in robotic surgery, especially for advanced techniques, and that robotic simulators help new surgeons learn faster.

Since the destructive and illegal full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, caring for the victims of war trauma has been an essential function of Ukrainian clinicians [ 1, 2]. The authors present a case where using novel dynamic digital thermography (DDT), combined with international telemedicine support, contributed to saving the lower limb of an injured Ukrainian soldier. A male soldier in his 30s presented with a 'through and through' fragmentation wound to the right thigh from an artillery shell exploding nearby.

Introduction: Since the establishment of the Major Trauma Networks in 2012, it is estimated that an extra 1,600 lives have been saved across England. Although the delivery of trauma care has improved significantly, the provision of trauma training has not and remains fragmented. The Association of Surgeons in Training (ASiT), an independent organisation run by trainees, is dedicated to excellence in surgical training within the United Kingdom (UK) and Republic of Ireland (ROI).
