Multiple myeloma (MM) is a plasma cell (PC) disorder characterized by skeletal involvement at the time of diagnosis. Recently, cell-free DNA (cfDNA) has been proven to recapitulate the heterogeneity of bone marrow (BM) disease. Our aim was to evaluate the prognostic role of cfDNA at diagnosis according to disease distribution, and to investigate the role of the MM microenvironment inflammatory state in supplying the release of cfDNA.

Background: Recent literature highlighted the relevance of parenting strategies and emotions in dealing with children with ADHD and showed that these dimensions were highly affected by the COVID-19 lockdowns. Thus, our research investigated the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic had on caregivers of children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). We focused on the role of medications, children's age, and distance learning on changes in caregivers' emotions and parenting strategies.

In recent years, liquid biopsy has emerged as a promising alternative to the bone marrow (BM) examination, since it is a minimally invasive technique allowing serial monitoring. Circulating multiple myeloma cells (CMMCs) enumerated using CELLSEARCH were correlated with patients' prognosis and measured under treatment to assess their role in monitoring disease dynamics. Forty-four MM and seven smouldering MM (SMM) patients were studied.

Two neurodevelopmental conditions, autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), have been associated with executive function (EF) impairments but the specificity of their impairments is still controversial. The present meta-analysis aimed to identify the differences in EF profiles of ASD, ADHD, and ASD+ADHD in relation to a control group of individuals with typical development (TD) and to understand whether the EF performance could change depending upon the type of measure used to assess EF (performance tests vs. questionnaires).
