The Effect of Endometriosis on In Vitro Fertilization Outcomes: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the impact of endometriosis on various outcomes of in vitro fertilization (IVF), including live birth rates, clinical pregnancy rates, fertilization rates, and implantation rates, through a systematic review and meta-analysis.

Methods: Systematic searches were carried out using PubMed, MEDLINE, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Scopus, EMBASE, and Web of Science from January 2010 to November 2023. Studies comparing IVF outcomes in women with and without endometriosis were included.

An Analysis of the Digestive and Reproductive Tract Microbiota in Infertile Women with Obesity.

Previous studies have linked the microbiome of distinct body habitats to obesity and infertility; however, the often-divergent results observed have left the role of the so-called "second genome" in obese infertile patients incompletely explored. Here, we present a prospective observational multicenter study of oral, gut, endometrial, and vaginal microbiota of infertile patients classified according to BMI. Patients collected saliva/fecal samples, while vaginal/endometrial fluid samples were collected in the clinic.

Inhalation therapy with sulfur-rich thermal water for rhinogenic deafness: a series of case reports.

The study analyzed the effectiveness of a two-week cycle of sulfurous water therapy at Frasassi Thermal Springs ("Terme di Frasassi - S. Vittore", located in the Province of Ancona, Italy) on 8 patients suffering from rhinogenic deafness caused by chronic rhinosinusitis associated with nasal polyps and respiratory allergies. Patients underwent 12 sessions of sulfurous aerosol therapy and 12 bilateral tubal insufflations (1 aerosol and 1 insufflation per day).

Purpose: To evaluate the main psychosocial motivational factors behind the increased adoption of IVF during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Methods: This prospective, multicenter, observational case-control study assessed the factors motivating infertile couples to pursue their first IVF treatment during the pandemic across various IVF clinics in Spain, Portugal, Italy, the USA, and Panama. A pre-pandemic control group and a post-pandemic participant group were surveyed.
