Anti-nociceptive and anti-inflammatory activities of Azadirachta indica fruit skin extract and its isolated constituent azadiradione.

This study was carried out to evaluate the anti-nociceptive and anti-inflammatory activities of carbon tetrachloride extract (CTCE) of Azadirachta indica fruit skin and its isolated constituent azadiradione at two different dose levels (50 and 100 mg kg⁻¹ body weight). Anti-nociceptive screening by writhing test and hot-plate technique supported both peripheral and central mechanisms, respectively. Anti-inflammatory activity was observed using carrageenan-induced paw oedema model.

[Traumatic rupture of hepatic hydatid cyst].

Hydatid disease is endemic in some areas of the world. It is located mostly in the liver. The cysts rupture is possible after a trauma, or spontaneously by the increase of intracystic pressure.

Development of gelatin microspheres loaded with diclofenac sodium for intra-articular administration.

We have previously reported on the targeting of diclofenac sodium in joint inflammation using gelatin magnetic microspheres. To overcome complications in the administration of magnetic microspheres and achieve higher targeting efficiency, the present work focuses on the formulation of gelatin microspheres for intra-articular administration. Drug-loaded microspheres were prepared by the emulsification/cross-linking method, characterized by drug loading, size distribution, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), X-ray diffraction (XRD), gas chromatography, and in vitro release studies.

[Acute acalculous cholecystectoctomy associated with haemobilia in polytraumatized subject. Case report].

The Authors report the clinical case of polytraumatized patient who has colic abdominal pain and Murphy sign after 68 days from damaging event. This symptomatology is consequent to Acute Acalculous Cholecystitis (ACC) associated with hemobilia. This work may be different because hemobilia in polytraumatized patient, like causal factor of acute cholecystitis, is an isolated case in literature.
