Introduction: Arterial Tortuosity Syndrome (ATS) is a rare congenital disorder characterized by elongation and tortuosity of the aorta and mid-sized arteries. Additional features typical of connective tissue disorders are usually present, but the clinical presentation of the syndrome can extensively change. The cardiovascular implications are the major source of morbidity and mortality and can be present even during neonatal period, therefore a correct neonatal management is extremely important.

Methods And Results: Iron deficiency was defined according to guidelines (G-ID: ferritin <100 ng/ml or ferritin 100-299 ng/ml with transferrin saturation [TSAT] <20%).

Background: Lower extremity arterial disease (LEAD) and increased aortic stiffness are associated with higher mortality in patients with chronic coronary syndrome, while their prognostic significance after an acute coronary syndrome (ACS) is less known.
Methods: We analyzed prevalence, clinical phenotypes and association of LEAD - assessed by the ankle-brachial index (ABI) - and increased aortic stiffness - assessed by the aortic pulse wave velocity (PWV) - with all-cause mortality and major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) in patients admitted with an ACS.
Results: Among 270 patients admitted for ACS (mean age 67 years, 80% males), 41 (15%) had an ABI ≤0.

Umbilical Artery Thrombosis (UAT) is an extremely rare complication of pregnancy strongly associated with severe fetal distress and death. The pathogenesis is still unclear but it is often associated with anatomical cord abnormalities that leads to blood stasis and thrombosis formation. Other possible risk factors are maternal thrombophilia, autoimmune disease, gestational diabetes, hypertension disorders of pregnancy and Rh-alloimmunization.

Given its debilitating symptoms and prevalence, it is essential to define its proper management. In this study, we have assessed patient-reported outcomes among women having undergone segmental colorectal resection for deep infiltrating endometriosis.
