The adult mammary gland is maintained by lineage-restricted progenitor cells through pregnancy, lactation, involution, and menopause. Injury resolution, transplantation-associated mammary gland reconstitution, and tumorigenesis are unique exceptions, wherein mammary basal cells gain the ability to reprogram to a luminal state. Here, we leverage newly developed cell-identity reporter mouse strains, and time-resolved single-cell epigenetic and transcriptomic analyses to decipher the molecular programs underlying basal-to-luminal fate switching .

Objectives: We aimed to establish a risk profile for intraoral wound healing disorders based on measurements of microcirculation in gingival tissues.

Materials And Methods: Oxygen saturation (SO and blood flow in gingival tissues were measured with tissue spectrometry and laser doppler spectroscopy in 37 patients before/after tooth extractions. Patients were assigned to four groups: anamnestically and periodontally healthy patients (n = 7), anamnestically healthy but suffering from periodontitis (n = 10), anamnestically healthy but smoking and suffering from periodontitis (n = 10) and suffering from diabetes and periodontitis (n = 10).

Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is a highly aggressive and metastatic form of breast cancer that lacks an effective targeted therapy. To identify new therapeutic targets, we investigated the phosphohistidine phosphatase, LHPP, which has been implicated in the development of several types of cancer. However, the full significance of LHPP in cancer progression remains unclear due to our limited understanding of its molecular mechanism.

Unlabelled: The objective of this study is to analyse the effects of attended school type and class level on the reported caries experience (DMFT) obtained in the serial cross-sectional National Oral Health Study in Children in Germany (NOHSC) for the WHO reference group of 12-year-olds.

Methods: Caries data from the 2016 NOHSC were adjusted for each federal state on the basis of two additional large-scale datasets for school type and class level.

Results: Twelve-year-olds in all grades in Saxony-Anhalt (n = 96,842) exhibited significantly higher DMFT values than 12-year-olds in 6th grade (n = 76,456; +0.
