Investigation was performed on 54 patients with angina pectoris. The patients were divided into three groups. Group 1 included patients with angina pectoris of functional classes I-II, group 2 consisted of the patients with angina pectoris classes III-IV, and group 3--unstable angina pectoris.

Phospholipids, cholesterol and its ethers in platelet membranes were studied which thinlayer chromatography in 98 MI patients aged 30-60 years and 20 healthy subjects aged 32-56 years. In acute MI platelet membrane shows metabolic disturbances while subacute phase and scarring are characterized by positive membrane processes.
