HLA alleles are representative of ethnicities and may play important roles in predisposition to hematological disorders. We analyzed DNA samples for HLA-A, -B, -C, -DRB1, and -DQB1 loci, from 1550 patients and 4450 potential related donors by PCR-SSO (Polymerase chain reaction sequence-specific oligonucleotides) and estimated allele frequencies in donors and patients from 1550 families who underwent bone marrow transplantation (BMT) in Egypt. We also studied the association between HLA allele frequencies and incidence of acute myeloid leukemia, acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and severe aplastic anemia.

This study explored the curative effect of Allium sativum (garlic) and Artemisia herba-alba ethanolic extract versus Nitazoxanide drug on both immunocompetent and immunosuppressed-Cryptosporidium experimentally-infected mice.
Methodology: One hundred male Swiss albino mice were divided into the following groups: (GI) non-infected non-treated group, (GII) infected non-treated group, (GIII) garlic treated group, (GIV) A.
In this study, the potential anti-cryptosporidial effect of (black seeds) and (ginger) alcoholic extracts versus Nitazoxanide (NTZ) medication was investigated in immunosuppressed (IS) laboratory mice. Parasitological, histopathological studies were used to assess their therapeutic efficacy. Serum level and tissue expression percentage of IFN-γ was also used.

The structures of the resulting conjugates were established by spectroscopic tools and showed data consistent with the proposed structures. In vitro antibacterial activity against different bacterial strains was evaluated.

Aims: This case-control study investigates the link between AN and the underlying MetS and serum levels of chemerin in individuals with obesity.
