Objective: To evaluate the predictors of pulmonary artery systolic pressure (PASP) in organic mitral regurgitation (MR) and its prognostic value after surgery.
Design: Prospective observational study, conducted from 1998 to 2006.

The aims of this study were to clarify the prevalence and the risk factors for unsuspected abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) in patients who underwent coronary artery bypass grafting for severe coronary artery disease and to identify the most at risk patients for AAA.
