Introduction: There are studies with mixed conclusions about the role cholecystectomy plays as a risk factor for proximal colorectal cancer (CRC).
Methods: We performed a multicenter retrospective cohort study where the records of patients with CRC were reviewed. Data was collected regarding affected colon subsegment (cecum, ascending, transverse, descending, sigmoid, or rectum, which were also combined into proximal or distal colon), history and time since cholecystectomy, histopathology reports (TNM classification and clinical stage), and KRAS, NRAS, and BRAF mutation analysis.
Postpartum haemorrhage (PPH) is a significant cause of maternal mortality globally, necessitating prompt and efficient management. This review provides a comprehensive exploration of endovascular treatment dimensions for both primary and secondary PPH, with a focus on uterine atony, trauma, placenta accreta spectrum (PAS), and retained products of conception (RPOC). Primary PPH, occurring within 24 h, often results from uterine atony in 70% of causes, but also from trauma, or PAS.

The analysis uses 139 fb^{-1} of 13 TeV proton-proton collision data collected with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. Requiring a photon with transverse momentum larger than 20 GeV and within the detector acceptance, the fiducial cross section is measured to be 688±23(stat) _{-71}^{+75}(syst) fb, to be compared with the standard model prediction of 515_{-42}^{+36} fb at next-to-leading order in QCD.

The dataset corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 1.44 nb^{-1} of LHC Pb+Pb collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.

It's crucial to have a high level of clinical suspicion. The presence of other organ solid lesions and vascular injuries, as well as the patient's hemodynamic condition, will determine how these injuries are treated.
