Recently, a health-care database study showed that persons with type 2 diabetes taking GLP-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RA) had a significantly lower risk of 10 out of 13 obesity-related cancers than patients taking insulin (Wang L, et al. JAMA Netw Open. 2024 7: e2421305).

REDs affects >40% of athletes, yet the lack of underlying molecular changes has been a hurdle to have a better understanding of REDs and its treatment. To assess the molecular changes in response to energy deficiency, we implemented the "exercise-for-food" paradigm, in which food reward size is determined by wheel-running activity.

Research suggests that Zoom fatigue is stronger when the camera is on, potentially influencing individuals to conform to majority opinions during professional online meetings. In certain contexts, the regulation and function of the peripheral oscillations can be decoupled from the central clock. However, the specific mechanisms underlying muscle-intrinsic clock-dependent modulation of muscle function and metabolism remain unclear.
