Maquiroside A, a new cytotoxic cardiac glycoside from Maquira calophylla.

Maquiroside A, a new cardiac glycoside, was isolated from the Peruvian plant Maquira calophylla. The structure was established using spectroscopic methods, and the aglycone was found to be cannogenol. The sugar portion was identified as D-cymarose.
