In this research, demand response impact on the hosting capacity of solar photovoltaic for distribution system is investigated. The suggested solution model is formulated and presented as a tri-objective optimization that consider maximization of solar PV hosting capacity (HC), minimization of network losses (Loss) and maintaining node voltage deviation (V) within acceptable limits. These crucial objectives are optimized simultaneously as well as individually.

Article Synopsis
  • Two new nonfused ring electron acceptors were synthesized, showing a unique A-D-A (acceptor-donor-acceptor) structure and demonstrating significant absorption properties in the range of 540 nm to 700 nm.
  • Their fluorescence occurs in the near-IR region, with lifetimes between 75-410 ps, and electrochemical measurements provide insights into their energy levels (HOMO and LUMO).
  • The nonfused NFAs were incorporated into photovoltaic cells, achieving impressive power conversion efficiencies of 10.17% and 14.09%, indicating their potential for simpler applications in organic solar technology.

Industrial organic dyes represent a significant portion of pollutants discharged into the environment, particularly by the textile industry. These compounds pose serious threats to living organisms due to their high toxicity. Various techniques have been explored for the degradation of organic dyes, among which heterogeneous photocatalysis utilising titanium dioxide (TiO) stands out as a promising technology.

Background: Laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) is currently the gold standard of care for managing gallstone disease. The time taken to perform LC depends on both patient-related and surgeon-related factors. Recognizing factors associated with difficult LC (DLC) can aid in appropriate surgeon selection and judicious scheduling of cases.
