Introduction: Proliferative lupus nephritis is a common and severe complication of systemic lupus erythematosus. Affected patients are at an increased risk of developing chronic kidney disease, end-stage kidney disease, and extra-renal comorbidities. In recent years, the prognosis for patients with proliferative lupus nephritis has improved thanks to advancements in management regimens.

Millicharged particles appear in several extensions of the standard model, but have not yet been detected. These hypothetical particles could be produced by an intense proton beam striking a fixed target. We use data collected in 2020 by the SENSEI experiment in the MINOS cavern at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory to search for ultrarelativistic millicharged particles produced in collisions of protons in the NuMI beam with a fixed graphite target.

Background: Three different histological scores-histopathologic classification (Berden), Renal Risk Score (RRS) and the Mayo Clinic Chronicity Score (MCCS)-for anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA)-associated glomerulonephritis (ANCA-GN) were compared to evaluate their association with patient and kidney prognosis of ANCA-GN.

Methods: Patients aged >18 years with at least 1 year of follow-up and biopsy-proven ANCA-GN entered this retrospective study. Renal biopsies were classified according to Berden's classification, RRS and MCCS.

A mechanism for carbon deposition and its impact on the reaction kinetics of Methane Dry Reforming (MDR) using Rhodium-based catalysts is presented. By integrating Raman spectroscopy with kinetic analysis in an operando-annular chemical reactor under strict chemical conditions, we discovered that carbon deposition on a Rh/α-AlO catalyst follows a nucleation-growth mechanism. The dynamics of carbon aggregates at the surface is found to be ruled by the CO/CH ratio and the inlet CH concentration.
