Self-driving cars are one of the main areas of research today, but it has to be acknowledged that the information from the sensors (the perceptron) is a huge amount of data, which is now unmanageable even when projected onto a single traffic junction. In the case of self-driving, the nodes have to be sequenced and organized according to the planned route. A self-driving car in Hungary would have to be able to interpret more than 70,000 traffic junctions to be able to drive all over the country.

In specific applications like ice-repellent coatings or membrane separation technology, wettability is a key parameter affecting the applicability of commodity polymers. This study presents a technique to fine-control the wetting properties of a hierarchically structured polypropylene surface, enabling the transition between superhydrophobic and superhydrophilic states. To demonstrate the tunability of the wetting properties of polypropylene (PP) substrate, we prepared in a consecutive way superhydrophobic (advancing contact angle (CA) of 152°) and superhydrophilic (CA of 0°) material by solvent-treatment and mild air plasma treatment.

Previously, we have demonstrated that amiodarone (AM), a widely used antiarrhythmic drug, and its major metabolite desethylamiodarone (DEA) both affect several mitochondrial processes in isolated heart and liver mitochondria. Also, we have established DEA's antitumor properties in various cancer cell lines and in a rodent metastasis model. In the present study, we compared AM's and DEA's mitochondrial and antineoplastic effects in a human triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) cell line.

Catheter-based intervention procedures contain complex maneuvers, and they are often performed using fluoroscopic guidance assisted by 2D and 3D echocardiography viewed on a flat screen that inherently limits depth perception. Emerging mixed reality (MR) technologies, combined with advanced rendering techniques, offer potential enhancement in depth perception and navigational support.
