Dynamics of changes in synthesis of cytoplasmatic and mitochondrial proteins in liver of chickens of various age exposed to low dose (0.05 Gy) ionizing radiation has been studied. It has been shown that low dose intensified the incorporation of labeled amino acids into the proteins in all the stages studied, although the degree and character of protein synthesis activation in cytoplasma and mitochondria are different.

The synthesis of cytoplasmic proteins and the activity of cAMP-dependent protein kinase were studied in the thyroid gland and thymus of intact and irradiated (0.05 Gr) embryos and chicks. The increase in labeled amino acid incorporation into proteins of irradiated chicken endocrine organs during postnatal development was more apparent in thyrocytes.

Dynamics of changes in activities of cAMP-dependent enzymes, phosphodiesterase and protein kinase, were studied in the thymus of intact and irradiated, prior to incubation, (0.05 Gy) chicken embryos and chicks. The changes observed were wave-like.

Adenylate cyclase (AC) activity was studied in thymus and thyroid gland of intact chick embryos and those irradiated with a dose of 0.029 Gy prior to incubation, and newly hatched chicks in the presence of total ganglioside fractions extracted from the same organs. Gangliosides were shown to increase the enzyme activity of thymocytes and thyrocytes during the postnatal development.
