Varicella is a cosmopolitan communicable disease caused by varicella-zoster virus (VZV) characterized by papulovesicular rash and fever. Management of fever and pruritus and prevention of bacterial infection are the main aspects of treatment. Severe complications and death may occur in pregnancy, in newborns, in adults, and in immunocompromised children.

Intraabdominal heterotopic ossification is a very rare lesion, especially in the mesentery. In all reported series, there was a history of traumatic injury of the abdomen. We report two cases of heterotopic mesenteric ossification occurring after laparotomy in adults.

Introduction: Pulmonary textiloma or retained surgical sponge is rare but can have detrimental consequences. Its diagnosis is difficult, even when using computerized tomography (CT) scan and is always a medical and legal problem.
Exegesis: We report the case of a 46-year-old man with a history of pulmonary tuberculosis diagnosed by thoracotomy in 1986, who was admitted to hospital for hemoptysis.

We report a case of giant cell arteritis involving the temporal and mesenteric arteries, revealed by necrosis of the small bowel in a 75-year-old woman. The literature concerning similar cases is discussed.
