Clinical-electrophysiological investigation has been performed in 30 patients with acute lacunar cerebral infarct. Patients with atrial fibrillation, severe extrasystole weren't included to the study. The control group includes 7 health volunteers.

Recommendations are given for staged treatment of lumbar osteochondrosis with neurological symptoms. The scope of therapeutic measures is specified for treatment stations (stage I), neurological aid at outpatient clinics (stage II), neurological departments of a hospital (stage III), aftertreatment department (stage IV), day hospital (stage V) and sanatorium (stage VI). The experience is presented gained in Byelorussian SSR in the treatment of patients with vertebrogenic disturbances of the peripheral nervous system.

Examinations of the HLA antigens (A and B loci) distribution in patients with neurologic manifestations of lumbar osteochondrosis (NMLO) has revealed a statistically more rare incidence of A11 antigens and a more frequent one, of B7 and B18 ones. A different distribution of the antigens in cases with the major clinical forms of lumbar osteochondrosis was noted. Patients with discogenic lumbosacral radiculitis differed from normal subjects by the same antigens as all NMLO patients.

Fifty-two cases of Guillain-Seze-de Blondin-Walter syndrome are analyzed. The causes of selective sensitivity of peroneal nerves to the impact of various damaging factors are discussed. It is emphasized that along with factors of compression and ischemia, a considerable role is played by topographo-anatomical and histological characteristics of peroneal nerves and by the peculiarities of their evolutional-phylogenetic development.
