Sodium salt of aryl sulfinic acid reacts with enynone in a different manner, yielding α-furyl sulfone and stereodefined vinyl sulfone in toluene and EtOH respectively in the presence of ZnCl. The salient features of this protocol include chemoselectivity, broad substrate scope, high efficiency, high yield, and easy purification. The synthetic utilities of the products are demonstrated by cycloaddition and cis-trans photoisomerization reactions.

We develop a rapid and mild protocol to access sulfonimidoyl fluoride-[S(VI)] from sulfenamide-[S(II)] directly. The transformation occurs via the reaction of sulfenamide with NCS (-chlorosuccinimide), water, and TBAF in acetonitrile. Water and TBAF act as the source for S═O bond formation and fluoride, respectively.

Article Synopsis
  • The study investigates the potential of taro stolon polysaccharide (TSP) as a binder in tablet formulations, highlighting its extraction and characterization through advanced techniques like FTIR and SEM.
  • Tablets made with different concentrations of TSP were compared to traditional binders like gum acacia and PVP K-30, demonstrating effective drug release and optimal hardness with low friability, even at minimal TSP levels.
  • Findings indicate that TSP has promising qualities for use in pharmaceuticals, with significant hydration kinetics and a unique release mechanism that supports its role in enhancing tablet formulation.

This study addresses the challenge of precise breast tumor segmentation in ultrasound images, crucial for effective Computer-Aided Diagnosis (CAD) in breast cancer. We introduce CBAM-RIUnet, a deep learning (DL) model for automated breast tumor segmentation in breast ultrasound (BUS) images. The model, featuring an efficient convolutional block attention module residual inception Unet, outperforms existing models, particularly excelling in Dice and IoU scores.

This article describes the synthesis of -silyloxy benzylsulfoximine the reaction of salicylaldehyde and sulfoximine in the presence of silane and InCl. The steps include simultaneous reductive sulfoximination and an -silylation process. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report of this kind of reaction, where both reductive amination (here sulfoximination) and -silylation occur concurrently.
