[Stimulation of DNA molecules association with amphiphilic derivatives of 1,3-diazaadamantane containing hydrophobic side chanins].

Earlier, a new class of compounds--amphiphilic derivatives of 1,3-diazaadamantanes, capable of facilitating the strand exchange in the system of short oligonucleotides was revealed. Longer hydrophobic side chains of 1,3-diazaadamantanes promoted stronger acceleration of the reaction. In this study, interaction with DNA of two 1,3-diazaadamantane derivatives containing different side chains was investigated by use of optical methods.

[On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the accident on the Chernobyl NPP: medical consequences in Armenia].

The aim of this work is the analysis of the indices of the health and of the structure of the sicknesses of the inhabitants of Armenia who took part in the liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl accident. Also it is the determination of possible dependence of the frequency of diseases for the most widespread classes of sicknesses on the received dose of the irradiation, according to the data of the clinical examination and dispensarysation; and also it is the revelation of the role of other factors influenced on the health indexes.

[Immediate results of surgical treatment of stomach cancer].

Results of surgical treatment of 346 patients with cancer of the stomach are presented. All the patients underwent extended D2 and D3 lymphadenectomy. Up-to-date aspects of surgical treatment of stomach cancer, including intraoperative staging of cancer, spectrum of surgeries, their technical features, postoperative complications, lethality are outlined.

[24-hour blood pressure rhythm: clinical and predictive value].

Clinical and predictive value of 24-hour blood pressure rhythm is reviewed. Insufficient nocturnal blood pressure lowering induces augmented pressure load on target organs. On the other hand it reflects dysregulatory changes due to target-organ involvement.
