Anlotinib in combination with metronomic chemotherapy in HER2-negative metastatic breast cancer: an observational and retrospective study.

Anti-angiogenesis offers an important treatment strategy for metastatic breast cancer (MBC). Metronomic chemotherapy (MCT) provides antiangiogenic effects without increased toxicities, making it good partner for antiangiogenic therapy. We conducted the present retrospective study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of anlotinib plus MCT for HER2 negative MBC.

Metastatic sites of baseline as predictors in recurrent or metastatic nasopharyngeal carinoma treated with PD-L1 inhibitor: a secondary analysis of multicenter, single-arm, phase II study (KL-A167).

Background: Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) show optimal treatment effects on recurrent or metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma(R/M NPC). Nonetheless, whether metastatic sites impact ICIs efficacy remains unclear.

Methods: We performed a secondary analysis of R/M NPC patients treated with KL-A167, a programmed cell death-ligand 1(PD-L1) inhibitor, based on a multicenter, single-arm, phase II study from China between 2019 and 2021 years, which represents the first and most comprehensive analysis of the effectiveness of a PD-L1 inhibitor in patients who have been previously treated.

Case report: A rare case of bacteremia in an immunocompetent psychiatric patient: exploring the links between mental health and infectious diseases.

This study aims to explore the pathogenic potential of as a rare pathogen in immunocompetent individuals and to analyze how mental health status may influence susceptibility to infection. We report a case of bacteremia in a 31-year-old immunocompetent female who developed infection during an episode of severe depression. Although the patient exhibited self-harm tendencies, a thorough physical examination did not reveal any external wounds or signs of injury.

Endovascular Treatment of Mirror Aneurysms in Subarachnoid Hemorrhage Patients: Single Stage or Multiple Stage?

Objective: The study evaluated the effectiveness and safety of single-stage versus multistage endovascular treatment in subarachnoid hemorrhage patients with Mirror Aneurysms.

Materials And Methods: Our research team performed a prospective study, focusing on the radiographic and clinical data of patients diagnosed with subarachnoid hemorrhage, specifically those who presented with Mirror Aneurysms upon admission to our institutions. According to the different endovascular treatment stages, these patients were grouped into the multistage cohort and the single-stage cohort.
