Physical Activity Mobile App (CareFit) for Informal Carers of People With Dementia: Protocol for a Feasibility and Adaptation Study.

Background: Physical activity is a critical component of both well-being and preventative health, reducing the risk of both chronic mental and physical conditions and early death. Yet, there are numerous groups in society who are not able to undertake as much physical activity as they would like to. This includes informal (unpaid) carers, with the United Kingdom national survey data suggesting that 81% would like to do more physical activity on a regular basis.

Blockchain-Based Applications in Neurological Surgery.

The electronic health record (EHR) is an electronic record for patient health information that has alleviated many of the traditional issues associated with paper-based records. However, in the current era of the internet and with the variability of EHR systems, privacy, security, and interoperability remain challenges of the current patient health information management systems.

CREST-UK: Real-world effectiveness, safety and outpatient delivery of CPX-351 for first-line treatment of newly diagnosed therapy-related AML and AML with myelodysplasia-related changes in the UK.

Favourable outcomes with CPX-351 versus conventional 7 + 3 were demonstrated in the pivotal phase III trial in adults aged 60-75 years with newly diagnosed, highrisk/secondary acute myeloid leukaemia (AML). As a complement to the clinical trial and to address important data gaps, the CPX-351 Real-World Effectiveness and SafeTy (CREST-UK; NCT05169307) study evaluated the use of CPX-351 in routine clinical practice in the UK, in 147 patients with newly diagnosed therapy-related AML or AML with myelodysplasia-related changes. Best response of complete remission or complete remission with incomplete platelet or neutrophil recovery was achieved by 53% of evaluable patients.

Neurosurgical and pharmacological management of dystonia.

Dystonia characterizes a group of neurological movement disorders characterized by abnormal muscle movements, often with repetitive or sustained contraction resulting in abnormal posturing. Different types of dystonia present based on the affected body regions and play a prominent role in determining the potential efficacy of a given intervention. For most patients afflicted with these disorders, an exact cause is rarely identified, so treatment mainly focuses on symptomatic alleviation.

Hard to Reach and Hidden: Improving the Identification of Young Dementia Carers.

Young dementia carers (YDCs) rarely receive appropriate training and support. Their visibility and identification remain dangerously low, and, consequently, support initiatives being developed are failing to reach them. This study explored the success (or failure) of YDC identification pathways as well as the barriers and enablers to their implementation.
