Medial opening wedge high tibial osteotomy (HTO) treats medial knee osteoarthritis by realigning the knee joint, though it still carries quite a high risk of complications. A new Variable Fixation Locking Screw technology, designed to gradually reduce construct stiffness and promote bone healing, aims to address these issues. This observational study evaluates the safety and effectiveness of this innovative approach in improving clinical outcomes.

Previously, HMW tense (T) quaternary state PolyhHb was synthesized at the pilot scale with tangential flow filtration (TFF) for the removal of low-molecular-weight species. However, T-state PolyhHb is limited to specific biomedical applications due to its low oxygen affinity, thus motivating the need to produce high oxygen affinity relaxed (R) quaternary state PolyhHb at the pilot scale.

Purpose: The impact of neuromuscular disorders such as multiple sclerosis (MS) on outcomes following long segment fusion is underreported. This study evaluates the impact of MS on two-year (2Y) postoperative complications and revisions following ≥ 4-level fusion for adult spinal deformity (ASD).
Background: Despite some recent advances, pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) remains a growing oncological challenge. New drugs capable of targeting more than one oncogenic pathway may be one way to improve patient outcomes. This study characterizes the effectiveness of Metavert a first-in-class dual inhibitor of GSK3-β and histone deacetylase in treating PDAC as a single agent or in combination with standard cytotoxics.
