[Interaction of antibiotics with leukocytes in children of various age groups].

The indices of binding of 21 currently used antibiotics to human peripheral leukocytes (the ratio of the cellular and extracellular concentrations) were determined experimentally in regard to various age periods, i.e. at the birth, from 1 to 3 years and from 5 to 9 years of the age.

[Clinical pharmacokinetics of kanamycin in endolymphatic therapy of peritonitis].

The pharmacokinetics of kanamycin in patients with peritonitis was studied after its intramuscular, endolymphatic and lymphotropic administration. Endolymphatic administration of kanamycin provided an increase in its activity in the inflamed tissues of the peritoneum and omentum and markedly prolonged its halflife as compared to those after the routine intramuscular administration of the drug. Lymphotropic administration of kanamycin failed to provide the same effect.

[Competition of antibacterial drugs for binding sites of human serum albumin].

Simultaneous binding of two drugs to human serum albumin (HSA) was studied by flow microcalorimetry. The following drug pairs were used: sulfadimethoxine and cefazolin. Sulfadimethoxine and dicloxacillin, sulfadimethoxine and chlortetracycline.

[Pharmacokinetic study of dextran conjugates with catecholamines possessing hypotensive activity].

The experiments on albino female rats given 125I-labelled conjugates of dextran with noradrenaline and dopamine possessing various hypotensive activity revealed correlation between the hypotensive activity of the conjugates under study and the level of their accumulation in the liver.
