[The characteristics of protein hydrolysis on the digestive-transport surfaces of the cestode Eubothrium rugosum and of the intestines of its host--the burbot].

The functioning of different proteinases hydrolysing proteins in a wide pH range, most of which display activity in the alkaline zone of pH, on the digestive-absorptive surfaces of the parasite and host has been investigated. The dynamics of desorption of these proteinases from the intestine of fishes and tegument of cestodes has been studied. It has been shown that the worms possess less proteolytic activity and less capacity for adsorption of proteinases as compared to the intestines of their hosts.

[Optimal system of operating the MPU-D-02 machine for washing and disinfection of nursing care equipment].

The authors review different designs of the nozzles for washing assemblies and the possibilities of their use in a washing machine during the washing of bedpans, child pots and urinals. Define optimal variants of the nozzles and their distribution relative to a bedpan and a urinal. Delineate the effect of tap water pressure and temperature on the quality of contamination wash-out from medical appliances as well as tap water consumption required for different designs of the nozzles at varying water pressures and temperatures.

[Method of purification of water by means of ion-exchange cellulose fibers].

A new method of and an arrangement for continuous ion-exchange purification of water from admixtures contained therein in the form of dissolved electrolyte ions have been devised. As a basic working element for this purpose serves anion-exchange tape made of anion-exchange cellulose fibre (ICF) that enables a continuous purification of water from impurities contained therein the be effected as needed.
