[Messenger RNA movement on the ribosome].

Recent X-ray and cryo-EM studies of 70S ribosome complexes containing different types of messenger RNAs (mRNA) and transfer RNA (tRNA) have been reviewed. Changes of the mRNA path on the ribosome at initiation and elongation states have been described. Authors suggested, that the specific region of ribosomal 30S subunit ("platform") is a ribosome binding site of regulatory domains of mRNA which locates on the non-translated 5'-end of the mRNA.

[Sources of lipids in parenteral and enteral nutrition].

The review is devoted to sources of lipids in enteral and parenteral nutrition. The role of omega-3 and omega polyunsaturated fatty acids in metabolism of some lipid mediators is examined.

[Effect of enterally administrated oxygenated water on electrical activity of the small intestine in early postoperative period in rats].

The effect of oxygen, structurally-binded with water (oxygen water), on electrical activity of rat jejunum in early postoperative period. It was shown, that in contrast to effect of 0.9% NaCl, there is normalization of electrical activity parameters (frequency and slow wave amplitude) of jejunum in early postoperative period under the influence of oxygen water.

[Lipase and cholesterol-esterase activity in the salivary gland secretions of the medical leech Hirudo medicinalis].

The lipase (triglyceridase) and cholesterol-esterase activities were detected in the salivary gland secretions of medicinal leeches (Hirudo medicinalis). The specific activities of these enzymes were found to be equal to 8.2 +/- 0.
