Nonspecific ulcerative colitis is disease with complicated and not fully studied etiology and pathogenesis, and treatment of its complications is very difficult. Especially complicated is disease course with repetitive bleeding, toxic megacolon and perforation. We present a quite rare case of complication with multiple, especially repetitive perforations of transverse colon.

The aim of the study is to evaluate surgical options in complicated forms of colorectal cancer. It was found that radical single-stage surgery as alternative to two- and three stage procedures is the optimal surgical approach in treatment of complicated forms of colorectal cancer. An important role in the prognosis of the rectal cancer patients plays surgeon and his specific interest in colorectal surgery.

Laparoscopic surgical treatment was performed at 55 patients with acute amebian liver abscess. The diagnosis of acute amebian liver abscess was verified with clinical, serological, echoscopic, x-ray and CT methods. The laparoscopic method permits to sanify the abscess cavity of any localization.

The goal of present investigation was determining peculiarities of oxidation metabolism in the case amoebiasis. The activity of pro- and anti-oxidative systems and content of NO in the blood of the patients with abscess, which developed in hepatic amoebiasis, has been studied. It was shown that in the patients' organism an increased generation of the free radicals of oxygen and nitrogen does occur.

The majority of the investigation methods of biochemical, morphological and metabolic disorders in hepatic insufficiency and encephalopathy occurrence are inadequate in use in clinical conditions because their invasiveness frequently creates dangerous situations to the patient life and health. That's why, to characterize the mechanisms, constituting the hepatic and cerebral damages base, for testing of a new medicinal preparations, aprobation of a new theoretical and clinical hypotheses, the models of an acute and chronic hepatic insufficiency are applied on the animals, permitting to unify the age, genetic peculiarities and physiological parameters of the individuals involved in experiments, the pathology character, its severity and longevity. Homogeneity of these indexes permits to estimate molecular, structural and functional disorders, laying in the base of pathological process.
