Empowering Ontario's long-term care residents to shape the place they call home: a codesign protocol.

Background: Canada's long-term care (LTC) homes were founded on an institutional model that viewed residents as passive recipients of care. Many homes continue to follow this model leaving residents removed from operational decision-making within their homes. However, involving residents in the design of their LTC home's environment, programmes and operations can improve the residents' quality of life and other outcomes.

The human side of humanitarian supply chains: a research agenda and systematization framework.

Humanitarian operations are increasingly receiving attention due to the numerous recent disasters and crises caused by both natural and man-made events, from mass human exodus to pandemics such as COVID-19. The successful management of humanitarian supply chains requires the effective use of human resource practices, which in turn requires strong leadership in the so-called 'soft side' of management. This study aims to investigate the current status of research on the human aspects of humanitarian supply chains.

Predictive factors in recurrent spontaneous aborters--a multicenter study.

Problem: Compare data from several centers relating to success rates in recurrent spontaneous miscarriage and assess the significance of indicators of subsequent pregnancy loss.

Method: Data from 777 couples with unexplained recurrent spontaneous abortion from independent studies at seven centers were analyzed using logistic regression analysis. The following covariates were considered: age of patient, number of previous spontaneous abortions, length of previous abortions history, sub-fertility index (defined as the product of the number of spontaneous abortions and the abortion history), whether a patient was a primary or secondary aborter, and whether a patient had received leukocyte immunotherapy.
