Proper function of the heart directly depends on the protection of the myocardial architecture. The fibrinolytic system plays an important role(s) in the protection of myocardial architecture and aiding the pumping function of the heart. We investigated the effect of fibrinolytic system inhibition by tranexamic acid (TXA) on cat myocardium and collagen, which are important constituents of the extracellular matrix.

Histologically the lesion appeared as large islands of loose mesenchymal tissue with profuse cystic bile ducts and hepatic cells. There were profuse bile duct and blood-vessel communications between the hamartoma and the right lobe of the liver.
