In this article, we investigated the representation of wind in urban spaces through computational fluid dynamics simulations in virtual environments (VE). We compared wind perception (force and direction) as well as the sense of presence and embodiment in VE using different display technologies: head-mounted displays (HMD) and large screens, with or without an avatar. The tactile display was found to be most effective for detecting wind characteristics and enhancing presence and embodiment in virtual scenes, regardless of display type.

Our objective was to evaluate how social determinants of health influence medical care and outcomes for babies with IHPS.
Methods: A retrospective review was performed over 10 years.
Background: The Spinal Instability Neoplastic Score (SINS) classification system is a validated and the most widely accepted instrument for defining instability in vertebral metastasis (VM), in which lesions scoring between 7 and 12 are defined as indeterminate and the treatment is controversial. This study aimed to determine which variables more frequently are considered by spine surgeons for choosing between the conservative and the surgical treatment of VMs among patients with an indeterminate SINS.
Methods: A single-round online survey was conducted with 10 spine surgeons with expertise in the management of VMs from our AO Spine Region.

In order to describe the changes in the control of arterial hypertension from 2016 to 2021 and the relationship between the progress made and the maturity of implementation of the HEARTS Initiative at the first level of care in Cuba, a prospective implementation study was designed to promote the correct measurement of blood pressure with validated automatic sphygmomanometers, risk-based care, introduction of standardized antihypertensive treatment protocols, secondary prevention, and teamwork. Patient education, active case-finding, and community activities were also encouraged. Data were obtained from implementation logs and were analyzed with SPSS Statistics V21; outcome values and 95% confidence intervals were reported.
