Background: Migrants have complex health needs but face multiple barriers to accessing health care. In France, permanent healthcare access offices (PASSs), as specific primary health care facilities (SPHCs), provide care to people without health insurance coverage. Once these patients obtain health insurance, they are referred to common ambulatory general practice.

Neuroblastoma presenting like a Wilms' tumor with thrombus in inferior vena cava and pulmonary metastases: a case series.

Neuroblastomas and Wilms' tumors are frequent pediatric solid tumors. The first is frequently detected in the adrenal gland and the second develops in the kidneys. The extension through the vena cava and the lung metastases are frequent in Wilms' tumors and are rarely seen in neuroblastoma.

Seronegative hepatitis C virus infection in a child infected via mother-to-child transmission.

Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection typically leads to antibody response within weeks after primary infection. Here, we describe the case of a child infected with HCV by mother-to-child transmission who remained persistently seronegative despite the presence of high levels of circulating HCV RNA.

Quantification of gamma-H2AX foci in human lymphocytes: a method for biological dosimetry after ionizing radiation exposure.

Recent studies have suggested that visualization of gamma-H2AX nuclear foci can be used to estimate exposure to very low doses of ionizing radiation. Although this approach is widely used for various purposes, its suitability for individual human biodosimetry has not yet been assessed. We therefore conducted such an assessment with the help of available software for observing and automatically scoring gamma-H2AX foci.

[Thyroid metastasis of kidney cancer].

Thyroid metastasis of solid tumors is rare and often asymptomatic. Differential diagnosis with malignant thyroid tumor is difficult. We report a 65-year-old man who presented with a solitary intrathoracic thyroid nodule of the left lobe, inaccessible to fine needle biopsy.
