Kinetic data is most commonly collected through the generation of time-series data under either batch or flow conditions. Existing methods to generate kinetic data in flow collect integral data (concentration over time) only. Here, we report a method for the rapid and direct collection of differential kinetic data (direct measurement of rate) in flow by performing a series of instantaneous rate measurements on sequential small-scale reactions.

Background: Xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis (XGP) is a rare chronic inflammatory condition of the kidney, associated with high patient morbidity, often requiring targeted antibiotic therapy and surgical removal of the affected kidney.

Aim: We report the outcomes of patients undergoing nephrectomy for XGP in our institution over a 12-year period.

Methods: Following ethical approval, a retrospective review of histological samples of renal tissue demonstrating features of XGP from June 2010 to 2022 was conducted.

Aim: Ulcerative colitis (UC) is characterized by chronic mucosal inflammation and an increased risk of colorectal cancer. smad7, TLR2 and TLR4 modulate intestinal inflammation and their polymorphisms affect the risk of development of sporadic colorectal cancer.
