[The influence of tobacco-smoke toxic components on glucosaminoglycans in biologic tissues].

The aim of the work is detailed analysis of glucosaminoglikans and glukuronic acid in chisel tooth and molars of tobacco-smokers and non-smokers. The total number of 140 patients (tobacco-smokers - 60) by acute serous pulpit is investigated. The conducted quantative and qualitative analyzes show that tobacco-smokers tooth contains les glucosaminoglikans (chondroitinsulfats A and C) and more glucuronic acid than non-smokers individuals.

[Morpho-functional parameters of the corpus luteum in healthy women and in patients of reproductive age with uterine myoma].

Ovarian corpus luteum of menstruation at the stage of its peak activity was studied in normal women and in patients with proliferative uterine myoma using ultrasonography (intravaginal color Doppler imaging), laboratory analyses (progesterone and estrogen concentrations in peripheral blood) and morphological (histological, histochemical and morphometric) methods. In patients with proliferative uterine myoma, the defective corpus luteum was detected, as indicated by the prevalence of small granulosa lutein cells, insignificant amount and uneven distribution of lipid inclusions in their cytoplasm, marked reduction of progesterone concentration in peripheral blood, unechogenicity, low degree of vascularization and increase in the value of resistance index of ovarian stromal arteries.

[Peculiarities of the construction of the brain skull and the process of ossification of the bone system of foetus and newborn].

By means of anthropometrical and craniometrical investigation of the section material 1530 foetuses and newborns, basic tests of physical development by the gestational age were investigated. High-grade of variability of the construction of the brain scull and vertebral column, and intensity of ossification of the bones system has been established. Two types of normal and deviated structure of brain sculls were registered: occlusive or stenotic and dyestetic or pseudo-hydrocephalic variations.
