Objectives: Evaluate the prevalence of radiological anomalies on orthopantomograms (OPT) performed as part of forensic age estimation in unaccompanied minors.
Methods: This is a retrospective study conducted on 208 OPT examinations requested by a magistrate. These OPTs were interpreted independently by two readers to establish the number of missing teeth (MT), presence of dental fillings (DF), and dental anomalies (DA).
Aryl hydrocarbon receptor nuclear translocator (ARNT) mediates anti-fibrotic activity in kidney and liver through induction of ALK3-receptor expression and subsequently increased Smad1/5/8 signaling. While expression of ARNT can be pharmacologically induced by sub-immunosuppressive doses of FK506 or by GPI1046, its anti-fibrotic activity is only realized when ARNT-ARNT homodimers form, as opposed to formation of ARNT-AHR or ARNT-HIF1α heterodimers. Mechanisms underlying ARNTs dimerization decision to specifically form ARNT-ARNT homodimers and possible cues to specifically induce ARNT homodimerization have been previously unknown.

Materials And Methods: Sixty extracted teeth were obtained. Three application methods (self-etch, etch-and-rinse, and etch-and-rinse with rubbing technique) were performed to bond the enamel surfaces by a universal adhesive.
Chitosan films were subjected to accelerated artificial weathering at λ>300 nm and 60 °C in the presence of O. The resulting variations in the chemical structure were characterized by IR spectroscopy and UV-vis spectroscopy, and a photooxidation mechanism was proposed based on the identified oxidation photoproducts. The formation of gluconolactone derivatives leading to chain scissions was shown.
