[Mitotoxic and genotoxic effect of sediment on the example of the small rivers of the Orenburg region].

The Purpose--an estimation mitotoxic and genotoxic activities of sediments from small Blyava and Kuraganka rivers (Orenburg region) with the use of ana- telophase method. The results have shown the reduction in mitotoxic and genotoxic activities of the sediments over the 2007-2010 period.

[Mercury in the streams and reservoirs in the territory of the Orenburg Region].

The State Education Institution of Higher professional education "The Orenburg State Medical Academy of Federal Agency in Public Health and Social Development". The state of some freshwater streams and reservoirs in the Orenburg Region was estimated from the level of mercury in the water extract of their bed silt. The concentration of this pollutant is shown to exceed the set standards.
