Preliminary data on glyphosate, glufosinate, and metabolite contamination in Italian honey samples.

Glyphosate and glufosinate are among the most widely used pesticides in agriculture worldwide. Their extensive use leads to the presence of their residues on crops and in the surrounding environment. Beehives, bees, and apiculture products can represent potential sources for the accumulation of these substances and their metabolites, and the consequences for bee health, as well as the level of risk to human health from consuming contaminated food, are still unclear.

The chronic administration of cabergoline normalizes androgen secretion and improves menstrual cyclicity in women with polycystic ovary syndrome.

Objective: To investigate whether the administration of the long-lasting dopaminergic drug, cabergoline, improves endocrine and clinical features of women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

Patients: Twenty-nine women participated in the study: 14 women with clinical and endocrinologic features of PCOS and 15 age- and weight-matched normal cycling women. Each subject was assigned randomly to receive either a tablet of cabergoline at the dose of 0.

Objective: To assess if ovulation induction with gonadotropins alone is an appropriate treatment in couples affected by unexplained and mild male factor-related infertility and if the concomitant IUI improves the pregnancy rate (PR).

Effectiveness of cabergoline in reducing follicle-stimulating hormone and prolactin hypersecretion from pituitary macroadenoma in an infertile woman.

Dopaminergic drugs have been reported to be effective in the treatment of FSH-secreting adenomas. We describe the case of a young woman suffering from amenorrhea with radiologic signs of pituitary macroadenoma. The enlargement of both ovaries with hemorrhagic and serous cysts suggest that FSH was active biologically.

Shrinkage of pituitary PRL-secernent adenoma after short-term treatment with bromocriptine long-acting repeatable injections.

The efficacy, safety and tolerability of a single bromocriptine-LAR injection (50 mg) and of a 6 injection course at 28-day intervals, were evaluated respectively in 13 and in 9 hyperprolactinemic women with radiological signs of PRL-secreting pituitary adenoma. The long-lasting repeatable formulation of bromocriptine induced a rapid and prolonged hypoprolactinemic effect. Side effects related to central activity of the compound were observed only on the first day of compound administration in all subjects except one, whereas no modifications of cardiologic and haematologic parameters were observed.
