Nodular posterior scleritis is an uncommon inflammatory disorder of the eye characterized by nodular lesions that may be similar to other intraocular conditions such as choroidal melanoma, leading to diagnostic difficulties. This case report and literature review aims to evaluate the demographics, modalities, treatment, and outcomes of nodular posterior scleritis. We describe a 41-year-old female patient who presented with diminished vision in her left eye.

Purpose: To assess visual and refractive outcomes of toric iris-claw phakic intraocular lens (IOL) implantation in patients who had previously undergone deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty (DALK).

Methods: Retrospective case series including 24 eyes of 24 patients implanted with toric Artiflex or Artisan (Ophtec BV, Groningen, Holland) phakic IOL following DALK for keratoconus. During a 12-month follow-up, the main outcome measures were uncorrected and corrected distance visual acuities (UDVA and CDVA), refractive error components, topographic parameters, and endothelial cell count.

Background: Recently developed surgical techniques of keratopigmentation, assisted by femtosecond laser technology, using adequately developed micronized mineral pigments, have been reported to be efficient and conveniently safe as they are not associated with significant sight-threatening complications for changing the apparent color of the eye in cases of cosmetic therapeutic and functional keratopigmentation. We report the use of intrastromal keratopigmentation for electively changing the apparent color of the eyes, for purely cosmetic reasons.

Methods: In a case series, 7 patients underwent purely cosmetic keratopigmentation to change the apparent color of the eye.

Purpose Of Review: To review the different surgical procedures for management of postkeratoplasty refractive errors after total suture removal.

Recent Findings: There are different surgical options to address residual refractive errors that frequently occur after corneal transplantation. The correction can be done on the corneal surface or intraocular with intraocular lens (IOL) implantation which requires complete tectonic and refractive stability after suture removal.

Purpose: To report the outcomes of a new model of epidescemetic keratoprosthesis (Kpro) implanted without total corneal trephination.

Methods: Patients were considered for implantation with the new Kpro model (KeraKlear) if they were at high risk of failure with standard penetrating keratoplasty (PK) or showed conditions with a poor prognosis following PK such as severe chemical injury. We used femtosecond laser to create the surgical planes adequate for the purpose of the Kpro implantation, and the Kpro was implanted intralamellar in 11 eyes and epidescemetical in 4 eyes.
