On the basis of the experience with treatment of 632 patients with purulent diseases of the fingers and hand, it is shown that in local treatment of panaritium and hand phlegmons, the adequate drainage of an abscess and excision of the necrotized tissues, the use of laser- and roentgenotherapy, vacuum drainage, ultrasonic cavitation of wounds are of importance. The complex treatment permitted to achieve good results in most patients; exarticulation of the fingers III-IV in pandactylitis associated with diabetes mellitus was performed in 1 patient, amputation of the fingers II--III--also in 1.

The work presents results of treatment of 1019 patients aged from 20 to 89 with postinjectional phlegmons. Operations were made on 1003 patients. Main causes of the appearance of the disease, choice of anesthesia and modern methods of treatment are discussed.

The article analyzes the causes of relapses of varicose veins of lower extremities in 60 patients: in 38 patients after preceding surgery and in 22 patients after phlebo-sclerosing treatment. Of 60 patients 52 were operated upon. The operation in case of recurrence of the disease after surgery must include careful revision of the sapheno-femoral anastomosis, removal of the remaining trunks and segments of veins, detection and ligation of communicating veins with deficient valves.
