The search for risk factors for rapid progression of hepatic fibrosis (HF) in chronic hepatitis C (CHC) is a topical scientific and practical task. The purpose of the study is to identify clinical and genetic predictors and create the prognostic model of rapidly progressive HF in CHC. A retrospective cohort study of 125 patients with CHC has been carried out.

To achieve this goal the study using the methods of "case-control", which included 125 patients with chronic hepatitis C who were treated in the Poltava Regional Clinical Hospital of Infectious Diseases. The group of population control for the study of the prevalence of polymorphisms Asp299Gly TLR4 gene included 90 healthy residents of the Poltava region, for Gln11Leu gene TLR7 - 85.
