Article Synopsis
  • Remote patient management for heart failure patients aims to detect early signs of heart issues to initiate timely treatment and improve outcomes.
  • The TIM-HF2 trial involved over 1500 patients with heart failure, randomly assigning them to receive either remote patient management alongside usual care or usual care alone.
  • The study's primary goal was to measure the impact on hospitalization and mortality over nearly a year, and it has been registered with ClinicalTrials.gov.

Geometrical distortions are the Achilles heel for many watermarking schemes. Most countermeasures proposed in the literature only address the problem of global affine transforms (e.g.

We describe a new watermarking system based on the principles of informed coding and informed embedding. This system is capable of embedding 1380 bits of information in images with dimensions 240 x 368 pixels. Experiments on 2000 images indicate the watermarks are robust to significant valumetric distortions, including additive noise, low-pass filtering, changes in contrast, and lossy compression.

human umbilical venous endothelial cells. 7E3 binding correlated with alphavbeta3-expression in all cell types. Integrin-mediated cell functions were analysed with adhesion and spreading assays on vitronectin.

beta(1)-Integrins play an important role for adhesion and spreading of human smooth muscle cells. In the present study we examined the influence of angiotensin II and platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF)-BB on beta(1)-integrin-dependent functions of human smooth muscle cells obtained from iliac arteries. Treatment of these cells with PDGF-BB (20 ng/mL) and Angiotensin II (1 micromol/L) did not change beta(1)-integrin expression up to 48 hours as analyzed by flow cytometry and reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction.
