Gender inequality: policy responses to employment and education in BRICS countries.

This study assesses gender inequality in education and employment in BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) countries between the 2000 and 2021, using data from the World Bank database. A descriptive data analysis was carried out as well as graphical representations to compare among countries. The results showed that that female education achieved significant success, especially at secondary and tertiary levels, through specific policies including financial support and affirmative actions.

Immune-related thyroid dysfunction as a positive prognostic factor for patients with lung cancer in China: a real-world retrospective study.

Introduction: The relationship between immune-related thyroid dysfunction (irTD) and survival rates in cancer patients remains unclear. Furthermore, the impact of variations in immunotherapy line numbers and pathological types among lung cancer patients on this relationship has not been fully elucidated. This study aims to evaluate the potential of irTD as a prognostic marker for immunotherapy in Chinese patients with lung cancer.

Assessment of renal insufficiency in patients with renal artery stenosis by multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging.

Objectives: To evaluate the function of kidneys with renal artery stenosis using multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging, assess the diagnostic efficacy of multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging for single kidney dysfunction.

Materials And Methods: Renal multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging was performed on 62 patients with RAS using the Philips Ingenia CX 3.0 T MRI machine.

Association between polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons exposure and current asthma: a population-based study.

Background: Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are environmental contaminants that can cause a variety of health problems. This study sought to determine whether there was a relationship between PAHs and current asthma in adults.

Methods: This cross-sectional study utilized data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) from 2007 to 2016 and employed multifactor logistic regression, subgroup analyses, and smoothed curve fitting to examine the linear and nonlinear associations between PAHs and current asthma.
